Olho Seco

Olho Seco - Olho Por Olho 1989
Olho Seco - Haverá Futuro? 1997
01. Olho Seco - Olho Por Olho, 1989 CD,
Morte Secca - Morte Seca 010
02. Olho Seco - Haverá Futuro?, 1997 CD, Album
     Gravações Sem Qualidade - SQ-003
Old request, new rezer: noise and more noise with Olho Seco's catastrophe. Ok, the second CD is more listenable punk, but Olho Por Olho is indeed what you need to wake up on a Monday morning. Extra distorted speed for the Nuclear Death fan base! And I ripped the CD because the vinyl was way too noisy... Noise til zer!

Deadguy

Deadguy - Fixation On A Coworker 1995
Deadguy - Screamin' With The Deadguy Quintet 1996
01. Deadguy - Fixation On A Coworker, 1995 CD, Album
     Victory Records - VR30
02. Deadguy - Screamin' With The Deadguy Quintet, 1996 CD, EP
     Victory Records - VR048 CD
The requested sonic torture from Deadguy now rezerred: yes! Very heavy, fairly dissonant and with the will to make your brain bleed with twisted riffs, this is what 90s hardcore was about, when the metal replaced the punk and derived the Rollins Band sound. So if you enjoy the happy family of Mind Over Matter, Die 116, Orange 9mm, Negative Male Child etc. you need Deadguy, who were probably the heaviest of the lot and certainly the most possessed. And for those who fear the Victory Record tag, Deadguy sound absolutely nothing like Earth Crisis, Hatebreed and all this 90s metalcore shit. Two fantastic recordings to zer your head to!

Lightning strikes! Yes, every band has reformed over the years, even the most obscure, but I was still happily surprised when the Austrian thrash machine Cold World returned. The new material is as amazing, fast and sharp as the initial EPs (the 1992 LP is a collection of recordings from 1988/1991) and a must-have for any serious fan of Heresy, Septic Death, Siege and S.O.B. (which are all covered of course on these records). The single-foot-blast-beat religion is alive and kicking and there is much rejoicing. Can you feel the turbines? Fast as a mega thrash vs. mecha core zer attack!!!

Blood Patrol

Blood Patrol - From Beyond And Below 2013
01. Blood Patrol - From Beyond And Below, 2013 CD Album
Drunk With Power Records - DWP-014
     Includes 2010 demo
Yesterday was a great day, it was Carcass day! What an amazing show! Noisem kicked ass too, Gorguts were good and I was having some pizza during Black Dalida. The Carcass set is the best live experience I've had for a very long time, what a fantastic band. The legend is very much alive!
So today I'll complete the winning trilogy of the 2013 new-but-old bands with Blood Patrol. This time we are having a killer mix of Warfare, Slayer and The Accüsed. There is an echo of the mighty Golers in this plain generic killer dirty thrash attack!

Noisem

Noisem - Agony Defined 2013
01. Noisem - Agony Defined, 2013 CD Album
     A389 Recordings - A389-128
Tomorrow is a great day, it is Carcass day! And the opening act Noisem is not to be missed, their album is one of the 3 best death/thrash metal albums of 2013 on my shelves, in the category "new band playing the old style" (the other two being the Blood Patrol and Power Trip releases). Yes Noisem are mainly influenced by the old school crown of victory (early Grave, Morbid Angel, Dark Angel), but this is not merely yet another retro band. This album reeks of intense passion and infinite energy, you cannot not bang your skull on the nearest anvil while playing this stuff at 11. Not an original piece but so fucking awesome at all levels! Buy this album! Fast thrashing loud extramegazer!!!

Crowd Of Isolated

Crowd Of Isolated - Bad Actors 1988
Crowd Of Isolated - I Try To Tell About A Way... 1988
Crowd Of Isolated - Memories And Scars 1991
01. Crowd Of Isolated - Bad Actors, 1988 Vinyl 7" 45 RPM Single
     X-Mist Records - XM-014
02. Crowd Of Isolated - I Try To Tell About A Way..., 1988 Vinyl LP Album
     X-Mist Records - XM 009
03. Crowd Of Isolated - Memories And Scars, 1991 CD Album
     X-Mist Records - XM 025
This old request completion will ravish the many surviving fans of classic 80s hardcore. These records age very well, because they are simply great and in line with the hard rocking side of late Negazione with some Spermbirds and Skeezicks. Not exactly, but old fossils know what I mean: instead of the noisy and frantic thrash of the Heresy / Mob47 dynasty, we get here a more subtle balance of melodies and classy punk abrasion at reasonable speed. Super excellent nostalgia rezer!
