YEEEESSSSS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteStill by far one of the best Crossover/Hardcore bands ever!!! They should have been way bigger!!!
thank you soooo much!!!!
FOAD really did a great job with these REMASTERS of classic Hardcore!
They should have renamed themselves to ZERMACHT!!!
DeleteIndeed!
DeleteBut the remasters could have been better. Both albums suffer from dynamic range loss, always that tedious loudness war... I enjoy the original versions much more. This box set is still awesome for ton of live and demos, and the amazing book.
I agree. In fact the production on BEERMACHT was stunningly pristine and crisp for a Hardcore production of that time … I wish Attitude Adjustment would have recorded American Paranoia in the same studio!
DeleteBut before this box I only had the Beermacht demo, so it's absolutely awesome to have even more of their demos/rehearsal!
Thank you so much! I absolutely love this band!!!!
========================================================
By the way, you mentioned you have the SCANS of the box set. Would you be willing to share the booklet? Doesn't have to be good quality (300 JPG is fine), but would love to see more.
I have all the other covers in high quality, which I can share here if you want.
Yeah all that live stuff is excellent. That first AA sure would have benefited from a more menacing production.
DeleteI can take pix of the booklet pages, let's see if I remember to do that.
Oh man, that would be tremendous!!!!! I'll remind you from time to time … lol … unless I forget myself.
DeleteCheck this band out: https://mega.nz/#!1H4gECIa!fA01GzcnL3N-S0d__27DpdGAO3pHi6f3K-QYQZmNsqU
It's a French Hardcore/Crossover band that clearly pays tribute to BEERMACHT in their title … and their spoken interludes remind me of Ludwig Von 88 "Guerriers De Balubas" … nothing spectacular but fun!!!
Here is my (hopefully not too annoying) reminder to PLEASE take pictures of the BOOKLET … would love to see/read more of them!
DeleteHoping I can entice you by sharing some more random Crossover ZerCore with you that you may not have yet. These are all fun crossover albums from the 80s/90s:

Of course I forgot :-) Let me knot my neuron.
DeleteThanks for the archive. Ludichrist and AMQA are huge classics on this blog. I don't know the other bands, thanks again.
lol … I will just keep reminding you and bribing you with releases you don't have on your site yet
Deletehere is the 2015 KILLER album you were missing in your post:
https://mega.nz/#!pLIlmQIB!AcbeY973Vw5ZrUufcqkV7W-Ef9Xp9NsBeTnBcxmUkD0
by the way, thank you again for that post … I really like it, and I would have never found it without you because I usually don't listen to "regular" Metal
Thanks for the Killer. It made me download the FLAC version from a torrent, cheers!
DeleteHere are the Wehrmacht box book pix.
you are the BEST!!!! I mean the ZEREST!!!!
DeleteI will send you some more stuff shortly. Looking through the Booklet, I am reminded of bands like Bloodlust, etc. but let me know if you are looking for anything in particular!
Thank you again for the artwork. Here are all the scans in high resolution for all their other releases including Spazztic Blur: https://mega.nz/#!BX5RTJoJ!q7zRep-IAMIMcjP7C9trv-7kPpqyvtgkvfwNGwJuVoU
Deletealso, here is my expanded version of Kiss' God Gave RnR 2 ya

Dude, this is like totally off topic, but I am not sure if you'd get notified if I posted in a very much older thread. So I chose the most recent one. ;-) Well, I got my hands on the remasters of NME's Machine of War & Unholy Death with tons of bonus tracks (like rehearsals and stuff) in FLAC!! I would like to make it accessible for you so you could probably add it to your infamous site as a supplement. Or I could add the links to the NME post in the comments section. The latter is probably not the best of options to reach a lot of people. ^^ You see, I am not sure what to do with them. Standing by for suggestions, let's suppose you want them at all. Cheers from Germany R.
ReplyDeleteI am sure interested in this, thanks! You could send the links to laurent [at] churchofzer [dot] com or post them here.
DeleteUploading now...links coming your way in a bit. :)) R.
DeleteGot it! Crow is coming up next.
DeleteDUDE!! *two thumbs up* Cheers from... you know the drill. ^^
