There is no deviation from their trademark sound: fast, nasty and short. The closing song has a mid-tempo cold metal vibe which could also be found on releases like Just Another Crime, and the punk vibe is always present: this is another classic RDP album that could have been released 30 years ago - this is not a derogatory remark, it is a praise to the persistence and tenacity that RDP has deployed across the decades. The lyrics on the second song are troublingly stupid or they could be sarcastic, but never mind, anyway they are in Portuguese and spitted with the full venom required to make this crossover so effective. But despite the sonic connections to At The Gates, Merciless, Unanimated, or Dissection (none of which will appear on this website), Sarcasm fill the Church with bliss. The echoes of Dawn, early Sentenced and The Crown may have tilted the balance towards total zer, because this output is not just ok, it is an absolute delectation of the wicked. Fast, tight and violent delivery augmented by stellar execution and above all murderously catchy riffs (Upon The Mountains Of Glory!) provide this amazing combination of refinement and brutality. The guitar duels shine from within the deepest ravages of blasts and screams, while the percussive rhythmic precision builds up a wall of dynamic relentlessness. It is a great skill to combine so naturally the ferocity of black death and the classic superiority of Judas Priest. Leather, knives and brains! The Church highly recommends this repelling, abrasive and eardrum-corroding kind of crossover that fans of Deathtoll and Clandestined cannot bypass without risking excommunication. These three monsters from Consecration faithfully carry the torch of that epic delivery of post-war agony that borders on the funeral without dropping the death metal riffing and the crushing groove. The supermassive spirit of Winter and early Anathema animate this beast and the Church finds here yet another reason to celebrate after the earthquakes of Göden and Temple Of Void.
