Blockheads - From Womb To Genocide,
2000 CD Compilation Remastered Bones Brigade - BB007 Watch Out + Last Tribes - everything in a single track 02. Blockheads - Human Parade, 2002 CD Album Bones Brigade, Bones Brigade - BB013, BB 013 03. Blockheads - Shapes Of Misery, 2007 CD Album Reissue Bones Brigade - BB 037 04. Blockheads - This World Is Dead, 2013 CD Album Relapse Records - RR7202 Grind til zer!!! Addict to the very fast sonic obliteration of Sayyadina and early Cripple Bastards? Blockheads will fill your aural conduits with a similar dose of excitement and carnage. Of course it comes with the standard leftist and very confused (to remain polite) lyrics that were already funny in 1983, but the wind that comes out of your speakers will blow hard enough to dry your entire week of laundry in one sitting. And it improves with time: each release surpasses its predecessor in terms of songwriting, execution and speed, to reach grindcore heaven on This World and its excellent front photo. (wtf, 8 years already, when do we get a new one?) Triplazering grindification of the zerrest! Remove brackets and unzip: [walterblockheads] !ZER Blockheads ZER! |

Wardance - Heaven Is For Sale,
1990 CD Album No Remorse Records - NRR 1013 There was a quest a few days ago as a visitor was trying to identify an 80s speed metal band with female vocals. It happened to be the German band Wardance, so here we go with their album. They make an enjoyable mix of speed metal and punk that's up the alley of Acid and Znöwhite fans, without providing the intensity, novelty and excitement of these classics. Still a fun ride into the past! Remove brackets and unzip: [heavenizer] !ZER Wardance ZER! |

Kinetic Dissent - I Will Fight No More Forever,
1991 CD Album Roadracer Records - RRD 9327 02. Kinetic Dissent - I Will Fight No More Forever, 1991 Vinyl LP Album Roadracer Records - RO 9327-1 03. Kinetic Dissent - Controlled Reaction - The Demo Anthology, 2020 CD Compilation Divebomb Records - DIVE194 That is as beautiful and short a discography as an uneasy one to categorize, which makes it all the greater. There is the subtle thrash metal vibe, of the "prog" sort if you wish, and then there is the high quality rocking metallic groove typical of the late 80s, early 90s. The music is an absolute delight and the superb vocals too, especially when you need a pause between two sessions of war metal. No cheese here, at the very least much less than in a Faith No More album, only great musicianship serving first class writing. The demos are a little rougher, the production on the album is totally excellent. You know it is a classic because everything has aged extremely well, absolutely relevant 30 years later - sound, style, delivery: eternal zeritude. If you've enjoyed Kinghorse, Leeway or Last Crack, Kinetic Dissent must be added to your playlist now. Rocking triplazer awesomeness back to the future! Evil Army - Evil Army,

Evil Army - Command, Attack & Destroy, 2016 CD Compilation Limited Edition Stereo Vulkan Records - VULKCD001 1-3 from split EP 2004, 4-7 Conquer Human Life EP 2004, 8-9 Counter Attack 2008, 10-12 I Commander EP 2013, 13-15 unreleased Requested, zerred with much gluttony. Evil Army is the perfect dish if you're horny for early 80s hardcore punk thrash metal. I mean the fast, short and raw stuff that was ignited by Neos, GBH and Civil Dissident. Decorate this assembly of one minute-or-less blasts from the past with Metallica riffing like it's the demo before Kill'Em All and make everything boil in oil, then load up those guns and shoot everything to smoldering remains. Evil Army perfectly caught the vibe of 1983 and render it like only three weeks have passed since, not decades. Even the sound production is a very accurate tribute to 1983. This is really at the top of the game of the retro-thrash-punk wave, a blind test mixing them with actual bands from that golden era would leave anyone baffled. Evil Army deliver the most exciting time masheen, the energy and the roughness and the frantic delivery will bang that head that doesn't bang! Awesome triplazering thrashisation of the wicked! Antediluvian - The Divine Punishment, 2021 CD Album Stereo Nuclear War Now! Productions - Anti-Goth 529 The vast caverns of dyslexic death are expecting your meat to visit and remain there forever, because you will die. Fans of Grave Upheaval, Portal and Mitochondrion already know about Antediluvian, the rest of the world must now pay attention and die, vaccine or not. Antediluvian thrust their extra-density out-of-space black death in your general direction, then your brain enters infinite loops and unstable core are dumped every 666 nanoseconds through segmentation faults, and then you die again. Even according to Portal standards, Antediluvian's thing is weird, and that makes it al the more deadly, and then you die. More fantastic death awaits on each release, and the culmination of the weirdification of the blacked obtains with the newest album that conflagrates anything that moves or not, and then you die. Attention: for optimized results, play very loud in large loudspeakers. The headphone experience is not as powerful. You will die better sitting in front of the wall of sound than having it fed directly in your eardrums. The awesome heavy weirdness of Antediluvian deserves space. It will fill it and make it solid, and then you will die. Triplazering death and dying! NB: FLAC links to the other titles welcome. While the last three albums do not do much for me, the first three shine among the zerrest black stars of the deathiverse, especially Into Cold Darkness. The first half of the Vital Remains output defines heaviness in the context of death metal. A hybrid of Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel and Malevolent Creation might be a not too inaccurate perception of the monster. With a slower, more sinister pace on the putrefying Let Us Prey. Total death!
