It may well be the beginning of the dynasty of the headaches developed by Dillinger Escape Plan and the likes. I also hear some Ripping Corpse in this incredible EP. Very fast, very furious, surgically accurate while demolishing your neuron atom by atom, using Human Remains as a hammer! Grinding madness hyperzer! Filth Hounds Of Hades is of course everyone's favorite: intense motörheadism associated with first class composition & execution skills and a deep mastery of everything catchy that does not minimize the raw energy is of course the complete winner combination. None more classic! Indeed, it was produced by Fast Eddie Clarke. The following albums range from average / good hard rock (Power Of The Hunter, Tank) to more classic & awesome heavy metal (This Means War, Honour & Blood) which ally the early rawness with longer, more epic & melodic compositions that can remind of the first two (and best!!) Iron Maiden albums. Some punk in all this! Then comes 1997's totally killer Return Of The Fitlh Hounds, one magic live recording if there is one. 2002's fantastic headbanger Still At War concludes the first era of the band with bassist/vocalist Algy Ward. Then there was deathlike silence for almost a decade, and another Tank surfaced, featuring zero original member, but two guitarists of the This Means War era. This Tank incarnation released the last three albums, which do not sound like Tank. Out of pure conservativism and pretentious condescending expertise, I would have liked to hate these albums like a Motörhead album without Lemmy, but I can't: they are amazing! This second part of the discography since War Machine delivers pure heavy metal in Saxon style, and as a terminal Saxon fan, I could only consume & obey. Simply fucking killer modernized NWOBHM! I can't say Algy Ward's solo answer is nearly as convincing (but I'd accept a FLAC link anyway! As well as that thing they do with Warfare's Evo). Bang your head whatever the incarnation, Tank forever until the end of triplarezer! Heavy metal will never die! Lyon 1984 avec (the true) Metallica putain! BACK TO THE FUTURE! We were floored and defenestrated by Only Living Witness at a gig they opened for Cro-Mags in 1993. Upset Noise played that evening too. Night of large scale rejoicing! I hope alzheimer does not eat these memories. Only Living Witness make the cream of that sort of very heavy and very catchy and very headbanging and a little dark hard rocking hardcore that crosses the trajectories of Leeway, early Tool, Hüsker Dü, Scream and Goatsnake, late Cro-Mags, early Clutch and other specialists in the riff that hooks. I can even hear some Celtic Frost crawling underneath. And when air travels through the pipes of their amazing singer, everything becomes even clearer: majestizer! Absolute first class. Prone Mortal Form is a mandatory experience. Sweet power and magnificence! Milligram is another band with the same singer, but he's a little rawer and less impressive there. However Milligram's output is still an amazing combination of abrasive rock with the stoner touch and punk of Black Flag ascendance and other great groovy noises.
