Prophets Of Doom

01. Prophets Of Doom - Access To Wisdom, 1989 Vinyl LP Album      Metalworks, AVM Records - VOV 672, VOV 672 Heavy metal anyone? They were from Denmark, so obviously comparisons to Mercyful Fate and Artillery are expected. There is a bit of the very early Artillery here, but nothing alarming since these Prophets obviously got their inspiration from the entire 80s heavy metal spectrum. They are not copycats nor innovators, they do their own thing with soul, energy and a respectable production. The result is standard yet great heavy metal with a speed metal edge. If you enjoy that first Blessed Death album, early Metal Church, Tyrant, Ruffians etc. you should feel at home with the Prophets. A very competent album and a nice additions to the disciple of traditional 80s heavy metal. Bang that head! Remove brackets and unzip: [access denied] !ZER Prophets Of Doom ZER!
