Their sound is very consistent in its zeritude and manufacture : plain, fast-picking Bay Area-inspired thrash metal with a crossover edge that collides with Shellshock and Attitude Adjustment, and a touch of the most metallic Rose Rose vibe. The most recent material delivers of course a modernized take on their own sound and brings in increased power, complexity and headbanging - and some Slayer riffs that reduce Repentless to ashes, not that it is very difficult to achieve. Very catchy and infectious stuff! Intensity and speed! Outstanding delivery of neck breakage! Japanese thrash über alles! This large scale bulldozer still cracks as many heads as 30 years ago, and is by far the best album of the Sacred Reich output. The other albums are only ok, even if The American Way was incredibly disappointing. But none of them reignited the ultimate thrashing of Ignorance. And we wanted ultimate thrashing, not half-thrash songs about relationships (I once read a term to designate this: grey thrash?). Sure it is ok to slow down and make it more melodic, but then there are experts like Metal Church or Vicious Rumours to match. I went on buying each new album, unsuccessfully hoping for a new Ignorance. Do not miss the CD reissue, it's got an amazing MDC cover, plus Judas Priest and Black Sabbath covers. Even "psychedelic black dub doom" and "strange pyrotechnic prog death" do not cut it. But "awesome", "literally fantastic" and "mindblowing" do. Nobody sounds like Oranssi Pazuzu. It is the doom from outer space that contains enough systematic evil to haunt several planets at once, Oranssi Pazuzu are serious about the psychedelic layer, they are not lazy people, they want your head. They do calm and dark, heavy and fluid, fast and slow, abrasive and sweet, always with enough morbidity to never leave the blackness, they move with the beasts in the shadows, they do everything and then you ask for more. Tysondog - Cry Havoc, 2015 CD Album      Rocksector Records - RSRCD1247 Back to the future! Early Maiden and Saxon coalesce into a fleshy beast of heavy metal that calls itself Tysondog. They could have been an Ebony records band, but they were a Neat records band. In both cases, I would blindly buy the disc. Cronos even does some back vocals on Beware. Plain, catchy, classic, rocking heavy metal to bang your head to all afternoon! Cry Havoc is a faithful return, a little darker and a little heavier than 30 years earlier, or only modernized. There is also a vibe of sadness in this album, probably due to the more pessimistic-sounding singing. Like the new Avenger, it's a great piece of heavy metal that confirms heavy metal will never die!
