Link doesn't work for me...
ReplyDeleteanyone can direct me to vinyl rip of this?
ReplyDeleteI was lazy and did not rip the LP. But this CD is faithful to the original.
Deleteputting two demos and an album on one cd is always a compromise on sound quality
Delete...and yes I am a vinyl-ho ;)
I may be missing your point, but if they are mastered separately, there should not be any damaging compromise.
Deletethe point is when you have tracks coming off different recording sessions and then "mastered" to same level of volume throughout the cd it results in lower dynamic range when compared to the original vinyl release. in the end you cant play it really loud without sound distortion, can you?
Deletebeen looking for this one on vinyl but a decent copy for a reasonable price is hard to find
I agree. A wise master is still possible by processing each session independently. Early CD reissues were done that way, through plain transfer of original masters to digital format. And recent reissues often suck, even without bonus tracks from different sessions, because of excessive compression to fit the horrible trend of mega loudness (I'm thinking about the ugly Brazilian version of Living Death's Vengeance Of Hell).
Deletefull brazilian seems the only one good thing that came out that part of the world lol
Deleteany chance of vinyl rip before the world ends? a christmas present perhaps? no pressure.
and massive thanks for all other amazing vinyl rips you posted so far, zer!
Sorry about the file corruption, again.. it is now fixed.
