The early demos (cf the excellent Skinning compilation) explicitly shout at the world that these dudes fell in love with Repulsion, Napalm Death and Carcass. A little later, after getting used to their instruments and having released an actual album, they also integrated the more harmonic and sophisticated approach to metal playing that added to their barbaric sound waves the maturity that makes it potent and relevant. From Folter on, their death metal does remind of Pungent Stench, Gorefest and also early Atrocity - fast, memorable and thrashing. The surprise of 2019 was this unexpected and über great Santo album, in the league of the latest Terrorizer, unlike Pungent Stench who went the sludgy sleaze way. Favorite album? Mhh...
