So, let's dedicate this to the vermin that walks under the name Vladimir Putin and to the pile of dungs that obey his orders willfully or not. Let's dedicate both SS-18 and 1914 posts to all the tenias that organized this new war by proxy in parallel to the existing conflicts, i.e. the entirety of NATO officials, "journalists" and other "pundits", "experts" and "advisors" who set this blood bath up. The Church has been blasting the classic X-Creta since LP 1986 because it is one short bomb of crossover thrash. A Church classic! Face towards enemy. The only sadness has been the absence of any subsequent release. So when FOAD released the We Will Thrash You demo compilation, feverish excitement ensued. It is nicely packaged as all FOAD releases, and that's the only nice comment to make because the Church is now twice as frustrated about the lack of post-Patronizing release. The rehearsals and live recordings on the comp sound like shit, but Lärm and Rapt fans know how to deal with noise. Now boombox audience recordings are rarely a good experience, and here, they're not. Then there are the demos, and their juvenile punk rock, where even the killer songs later re-recorded for Patronizing are a drag, and they also sound very thin. "Interesting" (the worst comment about something) for the archeozerist wishing to complete his collection, but repeat playing shall top at 2 (the second one to make sure it is crap). Nothing on this compilation remotely matches the power and class found on Patronizing, it's amazing how fast this band matured from bad punk rock to deadly crossover thrash. Bang your head to that classic album and continue wishing we will find a door to a parallel universe where another couple of X-Creta albums exist! Crossover must not be taken here for its most common meaning as in another D.R.I. | Excel derivation, but rather as the primal hybrid of early 80s evil metal of the Venom | Warfare | Tank family with a slice of The Accüsed and early 80s punk bursts of the Gastunk | The Execute | GISM branch, who themselves already drew on venomous metalification. Actually Döraid very efficiently replicate what Ghoul were doing, in sound, style and spirit. Ghoul were a punk-Venom thing too, the cycle of leather'n'hell repeats forever and it is awesome. The unlimited offspring of Venom never cease to rock the Church. Crow and AGE also come to mind - only top zerified references! Blasting Döraid to 11 returns the listener to 1983 with a potent neck ache. Bang that head! There is of course a strong Motörhead presence in this discography, the solos are brilliant, the rough production fits perfectly (no clinically computerized Relapse-like anesthesia here), the gang choruses rip, everything rocks! Some songs are so great they will bring you to tears. The neanderthrashonaut punkorensis is at home and his cave resonates with the pounding of Döraid until the very last riff!
