Arm - The Victory Of Forgetting, 1991 LP Konkurrel - K 049/132 Finally, the long requested Arm - yet another criminally underrated band, obviously. Strongly influenced by NoMeansNo, the advanced rock of Arm deserves all the praise and attention that was given to Jingo De Lunch. All three records are above excellent, The Victory of Forgetting is a complete achievement in total zerness. Strong Arm!!! !ZER Arm ZER! Remove brackets and unzip: [Arm's race] |

John Dies...pretty interesting. Hadn't read the book so I don't know what got chopped but could def feel there was more depth to it. Was going to see it regardless because I enjoy Coscarelli's Phantasm movies. I like anything about alternate realities as quantum theory has so much evidence in favor of parallel dimensions that its almost frightening. Aliens ARE watching you jerk off!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the book (and of course, it is going to be better than the movie...), but this flick was a very good piece of cinema! And I do not say this lightly, I hate 86% of what I watch... dumb masochist.
DeleteThere is a strong Cronenberg feel to this one, winner.
Arm live in Groningen, 14.10.1990
