Request rezer and happiness flow. From classic thrash to groovy metal, Prong deliver. I would lie if I said I ever liked them as much as Coroner (to remain in the thrash metal vibe that turned to the sleazy/groovy stuff) but they are still an unmovable staple of the style. Primitive Origins is the juiciest meat of the lot. 3 or 4 albums are missing here, but it does not really matter since the 80s/early 90s stuff (including Cleansing) is the most enjoyable and head banging. I actually don't know, I did not hear the last two, but I have faith.

  1. Thank you for Prong. Their new album Ruining Lives starts with a bang: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ol-wxWTngE. "Turnover" is a great single. Saw them a week ago at Bloodstock Festival just 10 miles away from where I live. Tommy Victor was great and the new rhythm section fits well .Although I was hoping that Alexei Rodriguez from Catharsis will seat behind drums. You can see that set here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6VvAQhJcgE. The sound is getting better after few minutes.

  2. I'm a big fan of the Mike Kirkland era of Prong. I used to see them when they were just starting out in NYC. I remember a good Sunday matinee at CBGB where they opened for Ludichri$t. Hogan's Heroes and some kids from Brooklyn called Biohazard opened the show. They opened with the brand new Mind The Gap from the EP Prong 3 which they were selling at the show. I noticed you're missing it. I feel like I should contribute since you gave me so much. Send me a FedEx label and it's yours. Although I should mention my records got damaged during hurricane Sandy. The record plays fine but the jacket has some damage.
