Chronical Diarrhoea - The Last Judgement, 1991 CD Compilation Nuclear Blast - NB 045 CD The question of the day is: why would anyone want to listen to Chronical Diarrhoea when they can have unlimited servings of Heresy, Concrete Sox, DRI, Rose Rose, Inferno, Attitude Adjustment and so many other capital purveyors of fine thrashing? Why? Chronical Diarrhoea were a German attempt at mixing all of the above, and I wonder why I still have their records (I did not bother to rip the Salomo Says LP, this CD version will be enough). This stuff is moderately fun and musically inferior to any of the classics. The Last Judgment is almost impossible to listen to, so sluggish, so meh. The rest is high-school garage level at best: sloppy and not intense enough to compensate for the sloppiness (unlike Lärm!) and the mediocre punk riffs. But there is still enough potential for the non-jaded fan of 80s thrashcore to dig this, so let us all have fun in the sun.
