ReplyDeleteGosh I love SBC since back in 1986 when we first encountered them right in the middle of our transition from metal heads to crossover kids to full blown hardcore punks (speaking of my band back then). Tape trading was blooming and we got our hands on a demo and a live tape. Remember those boom boxes where you could speed up a tape? Some asshats turned it into a running gag to spread tapes that were sped up beyond any reason. So we were celebrating the incredible speed of SBC back then, nobody wondering about the high-pitched voice of the singer, hahahaha. But they still were great when we figured out later on. While we are talking... same shit happened with a Death live tape that sounded like Napalm Death, hahahahahaha. Strangely enough, the voice for some odd reason wasn't (or didn't appear to be) that high-pitched. Oh fun, good ol' times!! Cheers from Germany R
