Sickening Gore - Destructive Reality, 1993 CD Album      Massacre Records - MASS CD 025 Another minor masterpiece that went mostly unnoticed (I bought this CD only 10 years ago) despite its strength and power. Yes, it is generic death metal, and yes it is extremely well executed, well produced and well composed. Despite the logo and band name, no gore grind nor Cannibal Corpse impersonation here. Rather, fans of the death-with-thrash metal riffs style as in early Malevolent Creation or Morbid Angel-with-Slayer ergonomics shall be delighted by that beast. With a slightly more personal touch, minor musical experiments or any kind of excess in speed or heaviness - or on the contrary a bit of melody and progressions - this great and super competent album might have become a true classic - but never mind, sometimes we just need the neck breaking and the demolition.
