Slow Horse incarnated the perfection of stoner hard rock. The first album is good but not exceptional, it does not standout from the generic stoner release that was overcrowding the scene already in 1999. Standard early Sabbath ! St-Vitus recycling with a below average production - well played, good songs, but probably not anything you would carry on that desert island. Now the second album is a huge improvement on all fronts. Production is much greater, songs are much better and awesome, singing is incredible and the whole thing is infectious. There are absolute classics here (songs 1 and 7), and the general feeling is of a deeper and more sinister vibe. Yes it sounds a lot like Goastsnake, and since Goatsnake rules, Slow Horse rules. That second Slow Horse album deserves much more exposure than it received, and I am sorry to report that my CD being a little fucked up, there are digital blips in song 3 that I was too lazy to edit out, but they are short enough not to ruin the whole experience.
