There is no dull moment, the meat and the bone are constantly engaged while the head bleeds: CF know how to recycle initials and imagery AND riffs, and they package everything with enough guts and disgust to make old recipes spicy again. They are sufficiently parsimonious in their usage of keyboards to keep it ominous and almost useful, production never goes into irritating no-fi-saturation-boombox territory and execution is tight and powerful.
