The crossover of J2K2 echoes the style of  Born Without A Face and the later output of Sacred Denial, with heavier sludge and some Celtic Frost darkness. That 2023 remaster by Dark Descent is excellent and brings it back to a new life. The reissue of 1993 comes with their second album Contrafusion from 1989, which  to this day has remained unreleased on its own. Contrafusion is a little cleaner, with better production and instrumental mastery, and includes rocking influences that may remind of SGM or Stillborn. The whole package is a  triplazerifying prototypical testament to the golden decade and its eternal fountain of riffs. Bang that head against the bottom of the poison barrel!
