I try to tell about a way LP, 1988 bad actors 7", 1988 memories and scars CD, 1990 Crowd of Isolated, or the expression of classic hardcore at its best, which means lots of hard rock riffing underneath the memorable melodies (but nothing to do with mellow pop-punk) and the mid-to-fast thrash beats. These guys rocked as much as Upset Noise, late Negazione and Verbal Assault. And some RKL, why not (just to insist on the class of this band). So yeah, if you like good old Skeezicks, Unwanted Youth and Spermbirds' most aggressive side, you can't miss Crowd of Isolated. If you don't know what I mean, just download and listen. "Variante" has longer songs, more groove and evil arrangements that hook you to 5 listens per day - terrifying grindcore mixed with meat grinding thrash metal !!! I personally find "variante" much more interesting than the latest Pig Destroyer, Terrorizer or Mumakil - maybe it's the strong echo of 80s Italian hardcore viciousness (Wretched/Declino all the way!). Still grinding but with more blood and detached body parts, General Surgery blew me away with their new generic-yet-ultra-killer-early-Carcass-mimic of an album Corpus In Extremis - Analyzing Necroticism, a bombastic follow-up to their previous "left hand pathology" masterpiece. Non-stop grinding death metal and thick crust of ZERRRRRREST proportions in constant rotation in my playlist!!! Groove to your bulldozing death! Don't forget you will die! Most probably in a lot of pain, and in debt. The return of thrashing crrrrrrrust death machine legends Extreme Noise Terror with the enormously blistering new record the law of retaliation made the past 4 or 5 weeks a torrid boot camp for my eardrums. This album is the perfect storm of a mix of early, classic crusty grinding ENT from the Chaos UK split/Phonophobia/Peel Sessions era with the super fast death metal oriented neck breaking attack of "being and nothing". EXTREME NOISE ZERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Features songs from recent splits (Trap Them and Driller Killer). Buy and smile! Let's try also this bit of dirty and aggressive crustcore with the newest album "born into this" by Bombstrike. Into evil, depressing crust ? Buy this weapon! Their 2 latest albums from 2005 and 2007 have not left my playlist for the past 2 months, we do have here total classics of groove thrash and addictive punk-rock-and-metal with unbelievable hooks and locomotive beats. Eisenvater - IV, 2009 Yes. We've waited for 14 years AND HERE IT IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only release I had expected with as much stress and eagerness was probably the Bad Brains reunion LP "build a nation", which turned out immensely disappointing. Now the returned Eisenvater with a new rhythm section is nothing short of a miracle. Yes, I had decided to loooove "IV" before hearing it because I am a disciple, but I also had decided to loooove "Build a nation" in advance yet its flacid mediocrity just ruined the cult. Zer! So really this new piece of Eisenvater is p-u-r-e golden Eisenvater who never fail to evolve from album to album. Their strange tongue-in-cheek metallic onslaught is augmented by subtleties of almost indie rock sort - like Pelican for man, the overall thing reeking of the classic Eisenvater haunting acid and hammer of destruction. In the same league yet much more intense and soul-catching than the latest Melvins "nude with boots"!!!
