| 01. Horde Of Torment - Product Of A Sick Mind, 1989 LP SA Bucher Records - GB 001 02. Horde Of Torment - Inherit The Sin, 1990 12'' SA Bucher Records - GB 03 Classic maxi zer thrash metal time with another criminally ignored quartet. The first record is a wonderbra rendering of the early Sacrilege BC | Bloodcum | Exodus recipe, do I even hear some early Sadus and Wehrmacht? The second record is groovier and more polished, as in Vio-lence (btw on this one I think song 2 and 3 have swapped titles, sorry). Ok, it's not original, maybe they appeared two years too late while death metal started to be all the rage to receive the full attention of "the scene". But it's a furious and exemplary attack of thrash, and it's still way more satisfying and energetic than the retro stuff that has surfaced since the late 90s. Awesome stuff!! !ZER The Horde Of Torment ZER! Remove brackets and unzip: [Thrashorizer] |

Great post Zer. These guys were bad fucking ass.
ReplyDeleteBy the way have you heard of "Back to the Roots" by Nickanuke? I've been looking around and can't find a site that has it for download. Wondering if you had it or if I'll just have to buy it off ebay or something. The band has Archi Alert from Inferno in their ranks.
Cheers!
Nope sorry, no Nickanuke here. What do they sound like ? Anything connected to Inferno makes me salivate...
DeleteThat's what I thought when I heard Archi played with them. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteI could only find two live songs and one edited version from their LP.
They're mostly hardcore, with few slower moments. You can definitely tell it's Archi on guitar.
I'd like to think it's a great record, judging on the song "Inner Race". I heard it on Berlin Frisbee #01 which I found on rat shit sandwich blog.
