Today is the day: this is the very large post 2013. The common denominator of these records is their small size (7") and the fact that each of them is the only record I have from these bands (= do not waste your time requesting other releases from these guys). There is a wide range of styles and quality here, from punk to black metal to industrial death, from average to hypra intense zerism. The ultimate hardcore classics are Born Without A Face, Nog Watt, Deep Wound, S.N.O.T., Slipknot (not the modern clowns), White Trash, Hated Youth, Neon Christ, and Pure Hate, more or less. Fans of Godflesh will want to hear Candiru, Dead World and Skink. The doom cohorts will love Mournful Congregation and Mordor. Death metal disciples must hear Balvaz, Mass Psychosis and Witch Tomb. Don't miss the ripping slabs of Carniwhöre and Warhead (yes, the Japanese band, did not have this when I posted the LP). Bon appétit. PS: you may notice the post information (label, formats etc.) and the file tags (track numbers, titles etc.) have changed a bit. Yes, I stopped being a neanderthal and improved my home-made zer-generating software: instead of manually copying & pasting data from Discogs into my vinyl rips, everything is now automatically pulled through the Discogs API. The whole process of WAV encoding to FLAC-tagging-zipping-uploading to OpenDrive-blog post generating is 100% automated. Long live machines. Let me know if anything is wrong. !ZER 7" ZER! Thanks, I sold my Satanic Malfunctions - Who Wants the world in the early 1990s. I thought it sucked except fr the song Wardead. I want to check if my opnions/taste has changed since then!
ReplyDeleteSo many releases, you are working hard!
Not so hard anymore, my program does all the shitty work, I just have to listen to the music and split the songs :-)
DeleteBalvaz 1991 Balvaz 7''Virulence-VIR 004 is corrupted. I downloaded it like 5 times and it keeps doing the same thing, can't even get one song out of it,
ReplyDeleteNevermind. I tried a few more times and it finally downloaded correctly.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Yeah sorry, the server is shaky like an old giraffe.
Deletesorry for hijacking, can't find a place for requests.
ReplyDeleteany chance you re-up the tumult discography?
the satanic malfunctions eps are not so hot but their 2 LPs kill everything
ReplyDelete- Thanks a lot for this über-zer post... =D
ReplyDeleteHa! I used to be in Geneticide! Thanks for posting this!Found a bunch of copies of the 7 inch, shitty recording & all. We were supposed to record a split LP with Atrocity from CT on Peaceville & the 7 inch for Psychoslaughter, but we broke up before we could do a proper recording. OD & Terry went on to join Exit 13, while Doug & I tried to find new band members, but it wasn't too easy in suburban PA back in 1991. Doug moved to Alabama to join Skeletal Earth, while I moved to Colorado for a few years. This single was taken from a copy of our 4 track demo & we had no input as far as putting it together goes. Wish i could say that I have a better recording, but I really don't. Far as I know, I am the only one of the band that still listens to this type of stuff & goes to gigs on a regular basis. Anybody in the Central PA area want to form a band with an aging punk rock singer with a bad attitude & shitty outlook on life??????
ReplyDeleteThanks for all this info! Ah yeah Skeletal Earth, have to re-up this too.
DeleteAwesome post...thanks for including Namland in this mix of orphans....love it Rob.
ReplyDeleteZzZzZzerrrrrr!!!! Hello Mr Z, I have a problem with the Nailbomb seven inch, cant open as archive. Im using (yes using) :):( 7zip or whatever its called. But i dont think the problem lies there because all the of the fuct up amazzzing files opens up like (insert fitting metaphor)... A big thank you is long overdue been downloading lots of stuff from your site, most is stuff i had in my collection, and havnt heard in ten, twenty or 33 years. Really awesome work, keep on Zerrin WTF that means i dont know zzeerrrr, is it a local term for thrash, dbeat, crossover, etc etc? Anyway if you can take look at the Nailbomb seven it would be very much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteOver and out.

Sorry about the Nailbomb failure, please try to download it again. I just did and the file is OK. But downloads may drop before the end, resulting in a useless file. Click until it works.
