Death Angel - The Evil Divide, 2016 CD Album Nuclear Blast, Nuclear Blast - NB 3498-2, 27361 34982 Super classic thrash attack! I bought The Ultra-Violence at random: I had never heard nor heard of Death Angel, but nice moniker, nice title, nice artwork, zer, let's bet on it. And... totalizer explosion of the skull! Fast, intense, aggressive, catchy, high precision material to join the then very strong aggregate appetite for Slayer and Megadeth. It is headbanging paradise! The following albums do not exactly reach the level of the first, but the new releases since 2004 are amazing pieces of expert thrash not without melodies and with a lot of power. Listen to the live recordings and know that Death Angel rule the cohort of 80s veterans currently active. Bang that head until final triplazerification! Death Angel forever! Remove brackets and unzip: [the ultra-zerance] !ZER Death Angel ZER! |

Still pissed off my older brother got to see Death Angel in 1988, supported by Virus and Carcass.
ReplyDeleteSaw them at El Mocambo in Toronto on their Ulta violence tour. Drummer was underage for the venue. :)
