Vöetsek, Mind Of Asian - Mind Of Asian / Voetsek, 2008 Vinyl 7" 45 RPM Deep Six Records - DS-114 , Compilation Contains 6 songs by: Vöetsek, Mind Of Asian If you're in the mood for thrashcore (aka fastcore, but I hate this term), welcome to Vöetsek's angry output. Here comes a semi-endless supply of short bursts of noisy hardcore to make your ears happier than your neighbors. In my expert and absolutely not humble opinion, the best release of this lot is the Infernal Command album which displays the crossover turn the band took. Of course, this is delivered in short bursts of super pissed crossover of the kind that the almighty Golers like to generate. Awesome! And Infernal Command also comes with the best sound production compared to their earlier stuff. I have seen no new release from them since 2008, anybody knows what's up? A couple of other as pissed yet longer albums would be very welcome. Thrash til crossozer triplazer! Remove brackets and unzip: [MeToo] !ZER Vöetsek ZER! |

Their guitarist died in 2012, and their Facebook page reveals that they were playing shows as recently as 2014, then it stopped being updated. Maybe they've broken up?
ReplyDeleteI think there's sth wrong with the first link ... seems to be also the fifth one
ReplyDeleteRight, fixed. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteBtw according to Encyclopaedia Metallum they're still active: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/V%C3%B6etsek/129165
ReplyDeleteYeah that's why I was asking.
DeleteFirst link still wrong. Not Castrator Album.
ReplyDeleteThey are defunct. Surviving guitarist is a member of Ghoul, for the last 5 years or so now. Cheers.
