2005 CD Album Enhanced I Hate Records - IHR CD 011 Massive doom and sunshine! This is an album designed for fans of Cathedral (or Witchsorrow nowadays). This is an amazing album with killer riffs, epic songs and super strong production. The slow crush does not dim the catchy factor - this is not drone doom nor funeral doom, this is classic doom in a sludge tank.The heaviness within the variations, the elaborate structures around the two-ton riffs make it flow as smoothly and as irrevocably as a bulldozer on a graveyard slope on a rainy day. It is a fucking great album! It is even a classic, few recent doom records rank as high as this one in the EZTT doom hall of fame. Plaguerizer triplazer forever doomonaut! I have not heard anything they released after they changed name to Serpentcult (because the singer was arrested for child molestation, that pig). FLAC links much welcome. if you're going to point out the child molestation charge and call him a pig for it, why not also point out that he was in fact convicted of indecent exposure, as opposed to the RAPE OF A CHILD, which is what molestation connotes.

Deletewell, some reports say he was acquited after all... I don't know, he was never seen on the scene again anyway. I saw them live in squats in the town where I live once or twice back in the days. They were certainly a force to be reckoned with. Regarding Serpentcult , that band seems dead as a dodo but the musicians can/could be found making DOOMly noises in The Hedonist, Barabbas, Bathsheba, Landskap, Hemelbestorme, Rituals of the Death Hand. Some TPOG members continued in Gura & Möse, ... all well worth checking out some bands are harsher some more melodic some a bit faster some slower, some more trad some a tad progressive but really I wouldn't mention them if they weren't worth seeking out.
DeleteThe anterior pedigree to TPOG with Neuthrone, VoidFiller and a bunch of typical squat-punk noisemongers is also worth backtracking if that's your thing.
