Cirith Ungol - Forever Black, 2020 File FLAC Album x 9 Metal Blade Records - none It looks like a reload, it smells like a reload, it tastes like a reload, but it's NRAR. Today we will enjoy the most complete Cirith Ungol the Church can offer, including the AWESOME 2019 live and 2020 studio albums - two giant monsters of first grade classic metal and doom. It is very probable that Forever Black shall be considered by the Church central office as Cirith Ungol's best release after almost 50 years of existence. Let us also enjoy that absolutely fabulous 1979 demo - sure, the production can be a turn-off, but give it a chance, it rips! Forever super classic classy heavy metal in the black triplazering doom pits of the zeriverse! Remove brackets and unzip: [one foot in zer] !ZER Cirith Ungol ZER! |

Wish I could get into this more. The artwork is fantastic, had me hoping for a Celtic Frost sound. The synthesizer on the demo sounded pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteIf new to CU, maybe give them a chance. I was sorely disappointed when I played King of the Dead for the first time (in 84! I did expect speed metal), then the record grew on me and a few spins later I was a fan and had to buy the other LP.
DeleteHi Mr. ZER

DeleteThank you very much Mr.zer!!!!
DeleteForever Black is a real masterwork.
ReplyDeleteI got to see them play in 83 or 84 in a small (art studio?) in Ojai , just a 20 minute drive from Ventura . Years later it's a trip to see how popular they still are .
