Chaosfear - Be The Light In Dark Days, 2021 CD Album Careless Records - 048 Thrash til zer! Chaosfear bombard us directly from Brasil, so of course a Sepultura reference is expected, and it is relevant on One Step but with a more brutal approach bordering on death metal, as well as a more progressive angle with mighty hooks. The thrash machine evolved even more on the follow up monster Image Of Disorder, to blossom into something even more fabulous on the newest Be The Light. This unexpected return in 2020 reveals a new dimension to the thrash attack without loosening the aggression. The Church is not a big fan of Gojira but recognizes that their influence has had great effects, e.g. the new Chaosfear and its successful integration of these meloggresive groovy parts trademark of Gojira. But Chaosfear retained the whole dark heaviness that branches out to Celtic Frost's Monotheist and there is much addictive rejoicing in these Dark Days. Why is that piece of greatness not more popular? Why is not Chaosfear the name that word of mouth propagates in real time? Bang that head and spread the name! FLAC link to the new EP very welcome.
