At the zerrest point of the universe, some Plasmatics dig deeper and again forever. I got hooked on Plasmatics on a Saturday night TV rock show (probably hosted by the têtaclaquosaure Philippe Manoeuvre), when they played the video clip for the Damned. I was stunned, that video was completely crazy and the music so greatly intense! On my next trip to the city, I was buying the eternally suprazer Coup D'État LP, one of the highest peaks ever in Zer Mountains. It was the heaviest piece of hard rocking metallic punk destruction that I had ever heard (that was before I heard Venom, Raw Power and Discharge). I have listened to this album 12 billion times (I plan to double that figure). Sure, for the hormonal teenager, Wendy's attire was the most excellent concept. But beyond her tits, it was her voice that really mesmerized me. Nobody screamed like her, it was completely insane, and it still is. She has remained my favorite female voice to this day. Coup D'État rules the complete unizer and beyond! Of course, the other albums are all amazing too, even the first WoW - completely hard rock, Kommander and Maggots being amazing thrashers on full motörheadbanging.
The only curiosity here is the Ultrafly LP. I am certainly not a hip hop expert, not even a casual listener, but I can safely say that this album is either a parody, or a complete failure. But the poetry of the cover art makes up for the bad music.
Coup De Grace is the reissue of the 1982 demo recorded for Coup D'État. It is rougher, so it should be better, but I still prefer Coup D'État, which has better arrangements and more intense screaming.
FOREVER PLASMATICIZER EVERYWHERE MAXIMIZER!!!!
