The other two albums are great too, of course. But Tales Of Terror sits on the zerrest pedestal of Hell Awaits, Infernal Overkill, Executioner's Song, Animosity, Dealing With It!, Power From Hell, Behind The Realm Of madness, Morbid Tales, Screams From The Gutter... long live infinite lists... And I'm just back from the Raven show!!! Bleeding ears and sore throat for having shouted every chorus! The indestructible Gallaghers with the stainless Hasselvander delivered the ultimate heavy metal show with 90 minutes of total classics that made a crowd of 70 heads sound like 3000 people. And next year they celebrate 40 years of career. Hats down and complete bowing to the kings of NWOBHM! Mind Over Metal!

There is a wide range of styles and quality here, from punk to black metal to industrial death, from average to hypra intense zerism. The ultimate hardcore classics are Born Without A Face, Nog Watt, Deep Wound, S.N.O.T., Slipknot (not the modern clowns), White Trash, Hated Youth, Neon Christ, and Pure Hate, more or less. Fans of Godflesh will want to hear Candiru, Dead World and Skink. The doom cohorts will love Mournful Congregation and Mordor. Death metal disciples must hear Balvaz, Mass Psychosis and Witch Tomb. Don't miss the ripping slabs of Carniwhöre and Warhead (yes, the Japanese band, did not have this when I posted the LP). Bon appétit.
