This is more than perfect music, it is an horrible dive into the worst perversity of organized crime and mass murder. It is masterfully written, perfectly rendered in the execution and the production, this is just greater than great. Thy neuron will be marked and is already gasping for more. Each second is memorable because the giant black star of Zer Galaxy will never run out of black. At the top of the 2015 releases, at the top of the past 20 years! The EPs are cool but the album is quite the masterpiece, I defy anyone not to headbang all along. The youngest might even mosh in their living room. It is straight forward yet musically extremely competent, and extremely catchy, and extremely superzer. And it is as fresh and hot as when it came out, awesome! Criminally underrated is the phrase of the day. They released 6 or 7 other albums after that, but I am not convinced at all. Because of course, for those who cannot read French, I entirely disagree with Jolicoeur's bashing of Black Daze, who will be cursed to the 666th generation for such blasphemy. This is the reminiscence of the good old 80s feud between punk and metal - back then, it was impossible for both crowds to mix, and all the hardcore bands who morphed into metal bands were simply disgraced as traitors, sell-outs and - evil of all evils - capitalists. The monks at MRR were really good at that. Hopefully, nobody cared about the MRR politburo and crossover was born for the endless consumption and the glowing rejoicing of all. So, after releasing two first-class records of US HC punk that would cater to fans of Zero Boys, DI, Toxic Reasons etc. Wasted Youth put out Black Daze, a superb, even mandatory addition to any crossover fan's collection. It has this late Excel and Beowulf vibe while bending toward the flexible speed metal approach of early Forbidden or Flotsam And Jetsam: melodic and full of energy, strong and hot, zer and rezer. When I saw that record in the metal section of the local store, with green underwear on the cover, it blipped on my neuron. Underwear! Then I noticed the vicious black sticker stating "Ex-Carnivore" and that was it: I've always had to own anything even remotely connected to Carnivore. And Slow, Deep & Hard became the album of a lifetime. The level was blocked at 11, this was love to the level of Eisenvater, Primus, Bad Brains, Slayer, Victims Family and so on. The EZTT is not large eough. The degree of addiction to T.O.N. can be gauged by the the number of bootlegs I bought in that first decade of fanaticism. And yes, I bought a copy of the August 1995 issue of Playgirl (strictly for documentation purposes).  Musically, except October Rust that I find a little weak, the entire catalog is worth genuflection and awe. I could single out Dead Again as even greater than the post-Bloody Kisses releases. Family favorite, overzer forever hypraterrazer! Amen. For Big Hair deliver some wild, heavy and incisive mix of Victims Family and Primus, with a violin. Essential killer head blower! They rock you to the bottom of your underwear, they shake that spinal cord and then thy neuron is all inverted. This is fucking brilliant and totally in the league of the best crazy bands in that style. Big Hair is a pure product of the experimental 90s and they totally succeeded in their sonic quest. They deserved superstar status, but the children needed to promote Linkin Pork instead. Now is the time to celebrate, let's dance! Rezer til triplazer!
