Requested, zerred. I mail ordered the first album because of its raving reviews, and was pretty disappointed (no pre-screening through youtube in 1984): I had expected something more along the lines of Satan and Mercyful Fate, but Burning Star was less exciting, it was "only" another version of the Priest / Maiden formula. Ah, but after that, on Remnants of War they greatly enhanced the heaviness of their output and all was well, I was hooked on their heavy heavy metal. That is phase one. Upon their return in 2007, phase 2 started with a rerecording album of 80s songs (Pasts of the Sin), well well well, and then, bam, they went on full thrash metal with the last four albums. They did not loose that melodic vibe that always pleases fans of Metal Church, the songs are still as catchy and crunchy, but they added a strong Death Angel angle to their arsenal and it makes for a handful of very strong albums, especially the latest one Vampiro. If you are into the likes of Flotsam & Jetsam and Forbidden, phase 2 of the Helstar catalog is a mandatory stop. If you are into more regular heavy metal, phase 1 is a must - except maybe for the average, demo-sounding Multiples of Black. But really, the whole collection is greater than great. More headbanging for the young and the old! All these years, all this metal!

Agenda Of Swine

Agenda Of Swine - Waves Of Human Suffering - 2008 01. Agenda Of Swine - Waves Of Human Suffering, 2008 CD Album
     Relapse Records - RR 6107-2
Get ready to get burned with these tools of short, sharp, intense, vicious crossover thrash. If you are into Voetsek, Golers and the almighty Accüsed, this album is right up your alley. No there is no major musical revolution here, yes there is plenty of high octane cranial and vertebral stress test - aka headbanging. Drool til thrash! Brilliant triplazering no-nonsense thrash attack from the awesomeverse!

In April 1986, founding member Kurt Struebing killed his adoptive mother with a hatchet and scissors while on drugs. He claimed that he thought he was a robot. He wanted to open up his mother to see if she was a robot also.
Do you worship Venom, Hellhammer and Bathory? No? Come on! Classic noise from the black, deep bowels of the 80s!

80s Italian hardcore always rules! And all is well because Ifix Tcen Tcen do exactly carry the torch of that particular sound. The torch of the sound! I find many connections with Impact and Indigesti. I for an I. The Liquid Party LP is a collection of covers with a couple of their own songs. From the Beatles to Madonna to Blondie and Patrick Hernandez and Franky Goes To Hollywood, let us revisit the radio hits that played in your childhood (if you were born before VHS tapes) at the speed of 80s Italian hardcore. Awesome! Oltre La Collina then offers a short burst of that classy - guess what - 80s Italian hardcore in 8 originals and one Le Freak cover because Le freak, c'est chic. More awesomeness! 80s Italian hardcore rules until the end of the zeriverse!

New stuff and old stuff that complements previous posts - all awesome! Beyond Description are back with a new short thrashing bomb, IMO better than the previous one which was already excellent. Will not revolutionize your world, will enhance it if you are into Attitude Adjustment and all the 80s bay area crossover. From Cultes Des Ghoules we have today two CD rips that gladly replace the vinyl rips - especially interesting for the monumental Henbane album, which is a masterpiece of sleazy blackness - those riffs!!! So addictive. And then a CD reissue of their noisy, not that great first demo. A new compilation of the demo & non-Peaceville material from the legendary Electro Hippies will rock your wheelchairs, you dirty 80s grind maniacs - 60 tracks of what we still crave 35 years later! Mandatory especially for their side of the split with Generic and the Peel Session, better than any vinyl rip. Merci Vince. Esoteric reissue their monstrous 1993 demo in an amazing digibook, but not as amazing as the crushing sonic content of the disc - more giant doom and heavy death and general dissolution into the nadir of the flesh and the mind, genuflect now. The return of Exhumed is good, but I say without shame that I expected more shock and awe - I think maybe their Exodus cover is the culprit, it is so great that the rest of the albums may sound a little pale (and we could do without the movie soundtrack interludes). Pestilence rule! The reissue of Consuming Impulse is a great release, especially for the live bonus CD, but the true hero is the new album Hadeon which is a return to the Testimony days - classy and weird and dark and sophisticated without sacrificing the trademark Pestilence brutality, my favorite of theirs since their return 4 albums ago, a big album already for 2018. As big as Procession's new release? The constantly extra high quality of their doom metal is some of the best in the Solitude Aeturnus department and this album does not lower their standard - large, magnificent, haunting. Then let us indulge in a refresh of the two legendary albums from the killer Realm and their technical speed metal that delivers more hooks and dopamine boosters than a day at Chocolate Castle with these two CD rips that will gladly replace the rips from old vinyls previously posted here. Realm ultimately rock! Realm bang any head that does not bang!

Swallowed - Lunarterial

Swallowed - Lunarterial - 2014 01. Swallowed - Lunarterial, 2014 CD Album
Dark Descent Records - DDR 100 CD
Black death and psycho doom! Step back three feet and look at the album cover in full screen. This is exactly how it sounds. This album is one masterpiece of decomposed-then-recomposed terror noise with teeth like mountains that chew brains and lungs. If Revenge and Ramessess teamed up in the submarine that explores the great lakes of acid, this would be their final report. Black energy for triplazeristic sacrifice to the elsewhere!

Extra hot hardcore punk rocking music is on the menu. Beanflipper were a genuine engine of crossover from hardcore and punk of the early C.O.C. sort with a flavor of Government Issue to lots of crust and thrash for the E.N.T. and Poison Idea crowd as well as epic layers of Black Sabbath and Gwar and mid-tempo British death metal from the 90s. On paper in goes everywhere, but the sound and vibe are very consistent, and powerful, and expertly delivered - and memorable. This trio of discs is an achievement in sonic divergence with a natural flow. This exploration of many rough sides of the aggressive without losing the catchy element nor the melodic spacey bits is a complete success. Bravo Beanflipper and come again with more of this zeristic awesome rocking aural pleasure!

Speed metal attack! The underground legends of technical speed thrash have reunited and are touring! The two albums are still as hot as day one, for fans of advanced metallic wizardry in the league of the awesome Realm and Watchtower: complex, melodic, almost progressive, exemplary performances, killer songs, great production and just flirting with metallic perfection. The new EP is heavier and darker, as is often the case with this kind of band when they come back three decades later, and it is an amazing roaring return. The only complain I have is that it is too fucking short!
I have my ticket for the upcoming show, do not miss them! Toxik master thrashing triplazer!
