Yeah, it's pretty brutal, thanks, but don't think these guys had a choice in the time line with things. I remember their singer went to prison for a while (can't remember but I think it was pretty bad) and the guitarist died of a brain aneurysm, I think, while he was inside. They did an awesome tour with an old Atlanta band called O.C.B. back in the late eighties. O.C.B. is worth looking up, if it wasn't for them I would've never heard F.U.C.T. I wish I still had all four demo cassettes put out by both these bands.
ReplyDeleteI went to high school with these guys...back in the day (mid-80s) the cassettes they released were outstanding, their shows were always brutal and intense, they used spot lights on the audience, and (i'm only attesting to supposed rumors *ahem*) they would pass out fliers that were dosed in the corner. the guitarist, brooks phillips died from an overdose after he was run over by a methodist minister in a hit and run that broke his neck. and yes, clay went to prison. this release is nothing at all on a par with into the aggro or dimensional depth perception, but you gotta hand it to guys who have stuck it out this long and still put out this kind of intensity.
