Maximumrocknroll, the inbred experts, say: "So this is what I've been avoiding all my life... ignorance is bliss, is right. The self-appointed "jazz/punk/funk/rock" tag is right on. This is awful, just awful"
Amen.
Every zerist owns an Eternal Zer Top Ten. Mine has been supervised by Victims Family for 87% of three decades, I'll drink to that. Are VF the kings of the universe ? Check out White Bread Blues and The Germ, then bow to the dominating supremacy of Victims Family forever.

  1. Getting a wrong password error for Track 01 of Things I Hate To Admit LP. Can you look into that?

  3. Yes sandro there is lotsa interest here! VF is the shit!!!
Zer, I'm not finding fair that you also post their latest Ep "Have A Nice Day" since it's been out just very recently, oh well.
And since you're including the side-projects I'm adding the 2 missing SFC 7'' EPs to your ultimate collection:

    1. That's the eternal debate, making the record available for download may also help sell it...
Needless to say that if anyone on their side (or from any other band on this blog) asked me to remove some files, I'd do it immediately.
There have been two vibrant disputes on this blog: Killdozer and Broken Bones. I did not remove Killdozer because the dude from the label was an aggressive asshole right from the start, bluntly starting with legal threats etc. For Broken Bones, it did not even emanate from the band or their label.
What does the Church of Zer readers think? Should I avoid putting up recent releases? Or wait for complaints?

    2. I would wait for a complaint. It takes 2 seconds for a band/label to send you an email if they're concerned about the free downloads. Until more of these records are available on Itunes or some similar site in LOSSLESS format, I'll continue grabbing the free shit. I've used free Itunes gift cards and none of the downloads were even 320 despite being from reputable labels like Dischord. May the Zer machine keep rolling on!!!

  4. No debate here, just my point of view. I usually wait for at least a year before spreading the good new shit, and I 've already been asked by A.T. to put away some shares before, which I did. Don't think Jello would think it helps sells but hey, you do what you want to, eh? ;)

    1. Still, I think it is an interesting matter to discuss. "Just because you can does not mean you should" :-)
If labels still release physical records nowadays, I guess it's because there remains enough people who are not satisfied with mere digital files.

    2. Thank dog there's still people who want the real shit (beside the darn record collectors) like true fans, not just cheap audio that is Mp3. So I guess it proves your point, what else could I add to this statement? Why should I worry about records sales after all, let's leave the labels deal with it and never mind the bollocks!

  5. Great post as usual, thanks!
Question about "Things I Hate To Admit": the A-side of your rip ends with "0in A Nutshell" and all the B-side songs seem to be different from what's on Discogs. How is that? :)

    1. Right, the filesnames are malformed... The first song should be the last and In A Nutshell should be the first. I'll fix that soon, thanks for the notice.
