Lemming Project

01. Lemming Project - Extinction, 1991 CD Album      Noise International - N 0168-2 02. Lemming Project - Hate And Despise, 1992 CD Album      Noise International, SPV GmbH - N 0197-2, SPV 84-04632 Thrash til death! Or just death and more death. LP were a great incarnation of the classic late 80s death metal sound and aesthetics as established by the cohorts of Bolt Thrower, Atrocity, Massacre and Death and the others. The artwork fits the audio. Massive, rolling like a tank, the invasion of the Lemming Project bangs that head that doesn't bang. Maybe not the most original in that bandwagon, although album #2 is an improvement on the basics of #1 as far as personality is concerned, but the greatness and the density of this sonic aggression makes it as delicious as their peers'. Lemming Project were very much underrated. Death til triplazering neck breaking! Remove brackets and unzip: [death manager] !ZER Lemming Project ZER!

Suffering Hour - The Cyclic Reckoning, 2021 CD Album      Profound Lore Records - PFL-253 Once in a while, I am struck by metal lightning. In the past decade and a half, it has been the case through the spiritual experience of Göden, Temple Of Void, Vektor, Cobalt, Howls Of Ebb, Vhöl, Furia and a few others. Now there is Suffering Hour. First, are they an Anacrusis tribute band? Not at all, although the width of their sonic panorama would tag them together in the vast cohort of purveyors of sophisticated creativity and exploration, they are like a research lab in riff perfection. On their first release, Suffering Hour actually reek of Coroner and Pestilence's Spheres perspiration with a layer or two of Atheist and Voïvod - complex and very rich yet extremely rocking and catchy, awesome, technical death thrash with a sinister vibe. The rough production makes it all the more exciting. A must for the 90s nostalgist! On the next releases, the blackness takes command and they gradually become some sort of black metal monster that echoes the lugubrious advancements of Howls Of Ebb and Furia and the rest of the Polish riff wizards. They did not shut down the progressive dimension of their craft during this evolution - progressive as in alive with many prongs, not as in pompous keyboards and female whispers, this is as funeral and thrashing as the HoB fan expects. This is why I am still in awe, the lightning has not finished its work, each play delivers a new thing to chew on and marvel at. These guys are as young as they are talented, creative and dedicated to make outstanding and thrilling black death. Let me now proceed to their website and order a t-shirt. Triplazering relishing of the suffering in the blackiverse!!! Remove brackets and unzip: [sulfurizer] !ZER Suffering Hour ZER!

01. Night Viper - Night Viper, 2015 CD Album      Svart Records - SVR372CD 02. Night Viper - Exterminator, 2017 CD Album      Listenable Records - POSH379 I know it is getting old to always mention these references, forgive me for my limited imagination and the narrow panorama of my metallic knowledge, but if you are into Girlschool, Acid and Znöwhite, you are already a fan of Night Viper. Yes they do the classic 80s heavy and speed metal with a female voice thing, and they do (did) it so well they deserve a high seat on the podium of the most triplazering modern rocking entities. You shall not experience unknown musical adventures here, but your craving for expert classic metal will reach rare altitudes. This stuff rocks A LOT and is extremely catchy. We are touching here perfection in the replication of the classics. These two awesome albums augment your flacotheque with panache and your vertebrae are already sore. Profane Order - Tightened Noose Of Sanctimony, 2018 CD Compilation Reissue      Krucyator Productions - KP012      Contains Marked By Malice 03. Profane Order - Slave Morality, 2019 CD Album      Krucyator Productions - KP027 Québec is a voluptuous and unrelenting source of death metal, it is as much a tradition here as in Sweden. For a while, beyond the classics like 90s Gorguts and Cryptopsy, my favorites purveyors of deathness have been Oath Div. 666, Outre Tombe, Phobocosm or Saccage and a couple of others. But nowadays my meat informs the universe that the top seat is occupied by the very evil Profane Order. Their first release is a revival of the late 80s sound of Atavistic, Grave and Righteous Pigs: fast, crude, raw, rough, merciless and headbanging. The following two releases enlarge that panorama: faster, blacker, even less compromising, fully visiting the territories of war metal while not sacrificing the catchy element in the riffs. This is as hostile as entertaining if you like it deep, fast and hard. No tech-death here, no tortuous structures, only straight forward attacks of the senses from the largest caverns of obliteration in disgust. Awesome triplazering for your inner mad butcher!
