Dead Man's Root - Mouth Breather, 2007 It was a busy week of vacation in 2007 in London with 3 shows in a row. First we had suffered the abysmal disappointment of the worst Bad Brains show of all time in a large sold-out venue, then we endured a fully packed evening of incredibly boring and pretentious black metal with 1349. In the middle, we saw the amazing Dead Man's Root trio perform live without a PA in a bar with 17 people attending and I was blown away. This show was by far the best of the week and I bought 5 copies of their self-released album. Long live DIY! Here comes a formidable mix of 80s thrash riffing with almost prog 70s segments and Melvins | High On Fire groovy attacks of sludge. Heavy, classy, catchy, brilliant!!!
