MARTIN ERIC AIN
RIP
Sadness and doom, meat is perishable, time is scarce, and the end is near. Unzer. Let us commemorate the achievements of M. Stricker and consume again the incredible output of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. After Venom had carbonized the metal, Bathory, Sodom and Celtic Frost soon followed to demonstrate to the flabbergasted hordes how to make black metal sound still more evil. I spent the summer of 1984 listening to Apocalyptic Raids on a four-times-a-day basis alternating with At War With Satan, Haunting The Chapel and Bathory, that's why the A.R. rip here is a little shaky, record worn out - use the CD rip instead. I spent the summer of 1985 playing Morbid Tales on a four-times-a-day basis, alternating with Infernal Overkill, Seven Churches and In The Sign Of Evil, but the M.T. rip is pretty good. Still, the CD rip is better. None more classic than CF! And no, the absence of Cold Lake here is not an omission, I refused to buy this record after listening to it at a friend's. "Betrayal", "horror" and "aversion" are not terms strong enough to describe my reaction. The rest of the discography is as immensely awesome as ever. General EZTT dark star! Triplazering infinite cult of the Celtic Frost until after the end of everything! Remove brackets and unzip: [triumph of zer] !ZER Hellhammer, Celtic Frost ZER! |

as bad as cold lake was, the prototype demo from 2002 is so much worse!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of that...
Deleteyeah, it's really BAD.
Deletei dl'ed and deleted it....total garbage
"None more classic than CF!"
ReplyDeleteTRUE!
RIP Martin Eric Ain.
Thanx for the rips, ZER!
\m/
How about a post with all of the associated hellhammer/ CF bands ? like the Coroner demo with Tom singing?
ReplyDeleteSupposedly there was a band called Exxer that were to release a Demo in 1985 or 86 ?.
"EXXER is a new death metal band from Switzerland, featuring the ex-HELLHAMMER bassist/vocalist Steve Warrior, ex-CELTIC FROST drummer Isaac Darso and a CELTIC FROST roadie Suremann 'Dinosaur' Marco. They'll have a demo out soon, it'll no doubt be a total killer! For info write: P.O. Box 12, CH-8309 Nurensdorf, Switzerland."-Brain Damage #2, USA fanzine, Spring 1985
BUT...
maybe that was just an early name for Steve Warrior's band, Kotzen ?
and what is this "Live 1987" you uploaded? city? country?
Before your comment, I had never heard of these two bands.
DeleteAbout the bootlegs: the 1985 one is a rip from an old LP with a blue cover, released in the 80s. Sounds like shit, sold it. The other two are remnants of my 80s tape trading activities, no song titles, no location, no actual cover, and sound like shit too.
kotzen demo was posted on the goodbadmusic blog back in the day (links no longer works):

I had dl'ed that kotzen demo, it's noise/blurr/core, cool if you like that kinda stuff, but i don't have anymore (hd crashed).
btw, that apocalyptic raids vinyl rip is skipping like a motherfucker, lol, i'm getting the cd rip, thanks!
