It is the best AC/DC album. If you miss the Bon Scott era, you need Krokus, and you need this Vice. If you hate AC/DC, go somewhere else. Krokus have been the best AC/DC clone for 40 years except on the first two albums, especially the first - what a gem - that deliver amazing 70s prog-rock. The mid-to-late 80s albums are weaker, when they obviously tried to earn more radio airplay and failed just like Twisted Sister or Raven. Prostitution does not always work well. The rest of the discography is a combination of basic, extra catchy, full energy, spicy hard rock with the occasional cheesy ballad. I would recommend the first seven albums. Headhunter is my second favorite - such an amazing headbanger ! - with Hardware very close. Then I must repeat the very first album is a masterpiece of a very different, more hippie flavor. I think the best AC/DC clone has always been ACCEPT (just based on the voice)
ReplyDeleteKrokus rules!!!! Switzerland's finest!
thank you
Petit poney just made my day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the push forward, I had no idea this was such a groovy band. I previously only collected "The Blitz" to satisfy my obsessive "The Sweet" collection. I've been through the studio discog in full and digged it all. Crazy how I "graduated" gov't indoctrination programming prison in 1977 and missed out on all their stuff as it was being released. We only had one rock FM radio station and I have no memory of them playing Krokus. None of my stoner friends ever spun it and I've never seen a local metal band here still. That's why yer the Zer. Thank you for everything you do.
