As a vivid contrast to the previous celebration of doom, let us now indulge in the guilty pleasure of the totality of the black death. Fornicus is the deal. To just name three prongs in this voracious mouth, Impaled Nazarene, Dark Funeral and Archgoat frequently come to mind when blasting Fornicus (at 11, of course), who themselves are not Finnish nor Norwegian at all. The mysterious ways of the zeriverse. Of course, you shall find in the awesome Fornicus arsenal three dozen other influences and references from the great black metallurgy of the 90s. The essence of Fornicus is speed with catchy riffs and fabulous aggression.  It is all extremely well done - composition, execution and production, everything rocks. No real innovation, no new frontier explored, but 666% headbanging with passion and personality. Sometimes a purge with classic straight forward black metal is necessary when you're possessed by the twists and games of modern Polish black metal. All this blackness at once, oh yesssss! Black til zer! The density of the blackiverse within the zeriverse increases until nothing else matters! BLACK METAL MATTERS!
