The funny part is the fact that there are now two bands using the name, but you can't tell them apart without a microscope (hint: the 2018 release). All in all sonically exciting and generally efficient to numb your mind in difficult times, and of course to make your neighbors happier than ever when played at 11. A couple of black metal riffs sure permeate here and there, but this is mostly evil 90s classic death in the vein of early Vital Remains with bricks of Incantation on rails of Aura Noir. When the doctor orders straight forward, in your face death thrashing that does not lose control nor gets lost in the meanders of technical complexities, these Nihilistic Spheres are the treatment of choice. Unpolished and uncompromising, this short album pumps up the euphoria of the true zerist who loves the repeated skull crushing and all the thick and addictive juices it releases.
