For a heavy weekend, the Church of Zer recommends the Totenmond discography. This is über freaking awesome thrashdoom of ultimate proportions!!!! Why, but why aren't they distributed on North American soil ??? The language barrier is a lame excuse. I'd rather not understand Totenmond than understand James Hetfield.
Totenmond deliver the sickly heavy mix that you might obtain if you cooked together a dozen anvils with the Carnivore discography spiced up with the harshest punk input and with... with... EISENVATER!!!! Speaking of which, watch out for the next Zer post...
Totenmond is the testosterone fest that the Lair of the Minotaur fan cannot miss! ULTIMATE POUNDING DOOM OF THE THRASHING BULDOZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRR RR R R R RRRR R R !!!!!!!!!! ! ! ! !!!!!! ! ! ! !!!!! !! !!
CD rip.

  3. holy shit this band is good! it's like mid-period Neurosis mixed with later Bolt Thrower or something. thank you for introducing my ears to this! i bet they would be HUGE if they sang in english...go figure

  4. Try also LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, it's more thrash metal but same vibe.
Well yes the public was taught to like music in English only... but in Europe TotenmonD are pretty big. Succeed at home or fail worldwide... ?

  5. I saw them live at the Dynamo Open Air in 1997, and have been a fan ever since... They reminded me of a brutal version of Rammstein back then

  6. There is something of Rammstein in their martial approach, but to me it sounds a bit more like Carnivore or the 1st Type O Negative.

  7. If you're into German stuff anyway, check RICHTHOFEN. They did one album in 1997 called SEELENWALZER. I never heard any German singing (er, well, singing might not be the correct term) band sound as heavy as them.
