  5. The Zer never die!!! I never thought I'd hear these records in lossless without paying $50 a CD or $200+ for the LP's. I'm sure you've made quite a few people happy with the past couple posts...Thanks again!!!

  6. Bet On the Possibility seems to be ripped at a lower bitrate than the other records. The others are around 1000 and BOTP tracks are in the 700s. I only noticed since I know BOTP is a longer Lp than Wasted Dream, but the Wasted Dream folder is larger...weird. Thank you for sharing anyhow!

    1. I have rips in the 700s and 800s for other records. I guess Foobar uses the lowest bitrate that guarantees lossless quality for each file, but I don't know how this is calculated.

    2. It's because these rips are from the original releases on Selfish and mastered much softer. I have the reissues and they are much louder and the file sizes are a lot larger.

  7. Just for an example, Bet on the Possibility is 215mb from Zer's rip and my rip of the reissue is 326mb.

  8. Jazzpunk - If you have the remastered Wasted Dream or BOTP I'd love to hear that. Maybe you could post them here for comparison...

  9. Thank you very much. The remaster is definitely louder and will explain the difference in file size.

  10. Zer, thanks for posting these! But I believe that while your Bet On The Possibility is the original CD, your Wasted Dream rip is the remastered CD (it's the same as the one i have). do you or anyone have a rip of the original Wasted Dream CD on Selfish? according to Discogs, the original CD has the Satisfy the Instinct 7" as bonus tracks. i would love to hear the original CD as the remastered one is wayyy too loud...they just squashed the levels and compressed everything, it's a total digital distortion nightmare and sounds like shit if you ask me. even a good vinyl rip would be preferable.

    1. You are right, it is the reissue, and sorry I don't have the original Wasted Dream... Maybe Jazzpunk does?

  12. Not with a paying account (which I use). I don't know what happens with the free account.
