First grade hard rock and heavy metal of the totally British kind in the dimension of Angel Witch, Blitzkrieg and Diamond Head, full of crazy 6-strings duels to pump the air-guitar in you! Absolutely classic stuff that should steer you away from even trying the new Iron Maiden. And the two come-back albums are entire classics of their own. Bitches forever rezer! Remove brackets and unzip: [cidres zer] !ZER Bitches Sin ZER! To Montreal vinyl hipsters: 33 Tours is having another garage sale today, tomorrow and Sunday. I visited today: it is an awful mess of 80 thousand unclassified records. I did not even come across a Def Leppard record. The most exciting thing I found was a Jean-Paul II LP but I already have it. I left after 30 minutes, unable to cope any longer with the tediousness of it all and the rap music they were playing in the warehouse. You have been warned. |

Thanks Zer, you made my day. Essential Sins, The First Temptation and Invaders rock as heavy metal, great guitar work, rawness, speed, genuine sound. Predator suffers of weak sound production. The newest two albums are still listenable, but there is lack of that young spontaneous energy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, 30 years later they might not be as youg and wild. But they still sound relevant and the songs are great. Even the Simon & Garfunkel cover!
