There lies the greatest punk rock in the Joyful Partynamite subdivision. The first three albums are simply the template for everything loud, warm and catchy with that intense drive and abrasiveness that is filtered out of the Epitaph catalog. I always appreciated this band for the simple fact they didn't fall in line with the silly tough-guy HC that was happening in their zip code at the time... Those first couple of LPs are really just "punked up" rock 'n' roll and I find myself revisiting them a whole lot more often then their muscle-flexing, "X on the hands" wearing counterparts... Just my opinion.
