Eisenvater - IV

Eisenvater - IV, 2009
Yes. We've waited for 14 years AND HERE IT IS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only release I had expected with as much stress and eagerness was probably the Bad Brains reunion LP "build a nation", which turned out immensely disappointing. Now the returned Eisenvater with a new rhythm section is nothing short of a miracle. Yes, I had decided to loooove "IV" before hearing it because I am a disciple, but I also had decided to loooove "Build a nation" in advance yet its flacid mediocrity just ruined the cult. Zer! So really this new piece of Eisenvater is p-u-r-e golden Eisenvater who never fail to evolve from album to album. Their strange tongue-in-cheek metallic onslaught is augmented by subtleties of almost indie rock sort - like Pelican for man, the overall thing reeking of the classic Eisenvater haunting acid and hammer of destruction. In the same league yet much more intense and soul-catching than the latest Melvins "nude with boots"!!! INSTANT CLASSIC IN ALL DIRECTIONS OF ZERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! !!R!R RR!!RRR!RR!RRRR RR R R RR !!!RRR!R!!!RRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!R !R!!! !!!!!!!!!
When I grow up, I want to marry Eisenvater.
See you in 2023 for V !!!

  1. Felt the same with the latest Bad Brains release, so darn short and disappointing it made me call them a deadloss... and i fucken bought the sucker when it came out!
Gotta confess i never heard any Eisenvater but since i definitely need your forgiveness my lord, i'll repent eternally starting with downloading this one and play it at zer loud volume so my neighbours become disciples along. Thank you for sharing the faith!!! ;)

  2. Great as always. I like their new style. I got on the Eisenvater bus around 1996, and hadn't heard their first two until you posted them. I was a little surprised to hear one element of their sound was a strong early 90s era Carcass influence— I like what they're doing now better...wish they would tour the US.
