Axis Of Advance is several nuclear wars and black plagues rolled into the 11-dimensional bulldozing tank of their discography. This is uncompromising war metal at its freakest, it's really fast and full of hate. Is there any black metal with so much evil, death and doom? Let's not forget the complexity of the compositions and the tightness of execution - and most importantly how memorable the songs are and not just a blur of white noise. All in all, only the likes of Brutal Truth|Die You Bastard! impressed me as much. Forget Blasphemy and all the Maybelline crews, Canada's first war machine is Axis Of Advance. My favorite: although all albums are simply killer, I have a soft spot for Purify, an impressive distorted surgical massacre at the speed of darkness.
