Forbidden - Omega Wave, 2010 CD Album Nuclear Blast - NB 2576-2 Classic thrash metal! Forbidden were (are?) that kind of versatile entity that knows how to be heavy, catchy and crunchy at the same time while never selling out to any trend (outside thrash metal). Intensity, speed and melody: zer & rezer. If pressured by the taxonomy police, I would put them in the league of Flotsam & Jetsam | Lääz Rockit | Death Angel | Heathen. Their pristine discography bangs your head with class and energy - yes, on Green and Distortion too, do not listen to disgruntled purists who disapproved of the slight modernization of their sound in the 90s, these are two amazing albums. When in need of pure metal that rocks solid skulls while not obliterating the sound waves in war metal fashion, Forbidden is the perfect choice. Hard to pick a favorite, but if pressured by the ranking police, I would say Twisted Into Form and Omega Wave are two masterpieces that deserve to be played and replayed many times at 11. Have you ever heard the Trapped demo? Unreleased songs from between Twisted into Form and Distortion. It sounds different from any of their other music, almost a power metal/fates warning direction. Pretty easy to find online. And yes, omega wave is perhaps even better than the classics!
ReplyDeleteNever heard this demo, thanks for the info.
Deleteis there an issue with these or your connection? 4 times and 2 days ive tried grabbing these but keep getting a failed network connection error??
ReplyDeleteThought it was me cos that can happen but i have downloaded a lot of other stuff from various places.
I tried from three different computers at different places, no problem on my side. Things to check: firewall, antivirus, VPN (if you do not use one, I strongly suggest Private Internet Access) and browser (I noticed that Chrome has more and more restrictions regarding access to copyrighted material).
